The Variable-Angle Medial Distal Tibia Locking Plate is designed for internal fixation of fractures involving the medial distal tibia. Its anatomical contour provides stable support while helping reduce the need for extensive soft tissue exposure.
The plate features 30° conical variable-angle locking holes, allowing screws to be positioned up to ±15° from the hole axis. This enables screw trajectories to be adjusted according to fracture anatomy and fragment location.
Manufactured from TA3G pure titanium or TC4 titanium alloy, the plate features a low-profile, polished design with rounded edges to help reduce soft tissue irritation. It is compatible with variable-angle locking screws and conventional cortical screws for different fixation requirements.
• Variable-Angle Locking Holes (±15°): Allow screw trajectories to be adjusted according to fracture morphology and fixation requirements.
• Compression and Locking Options: Combination holes support both compression and locking techniques.
• Low-Profile Anatomical Design: The pre-contoured plate with rounded, polished edges helps reduce soft tissue interference.
• Multiple Fixation Options: Compatible with variable-angle locking screws, standard locking screws, and cortical screws.
• Provisional K-Wire Holes: Allow temporary fixation and fragment positioning during surgery.
• Titanium Construction: Manufactured from TA3G pure titanium or TC4 titanium alloy with an anodized surface for durability and biocompatibility.
• Adjustable Screw Trajectories: The ±15° variable-angle range allows screw placement to be adapted to the fracture anatomy.
• Angular-Stable Fixation: Multi-directional locking provides a stable fixation construct for different fracture configurations.
• Minimally Invasive Application: The anatomical contour and low-profile design can support minimally invasive fixation techniques while limiting soft tissue and periosteal disruption.
• Flexible Fixation Strategy: Variable-angle locking and compression techniques can be used according to the fracture pattern and fixation requirements.
• Reduced Soft Tissue Irritation: The low-profile body, rounded edges, and polished surface help minimize interference with surrounding tissues.
The Variable-Angle Medial Distal Tibia Locking Plate is indicated for internal fixation of:
• Medial distal tibial fractures, including pilon and medial malleolar fractures
• Distal tibial metaphyseal fractures with articular extension
• Fractures requiring buttress support of the medial tibia or malleolus
• Osteoporotic or comminuted fractures requiring variable-angle fixation
• Distal tibial fractures suitable for minimally invasive or open reduction techniques
