Description

Product Introduction

The Variable-Angle Two-Column Volar Distal Radius Locking Plate is designed for anatomical reconstruction and stable fixation of complex distal radius fractures involving the radial and intermediate columns.

The plate incorporates a variable-angle locking system that allows screws to be directed up to 15° off-axis within a 30° cone. This multidirectional fixation capability provides flexibility in selecting screw trajectories according to different fracture patterns and anatomical requirements.

The implant is manufactured from TA3G pure titanium and TC4 titanium alloy, providing biocompatibility, mechanical strength, and corrosion resistance.

Features

  • Variable-angle locking holes with a four-thread segment internal design, allowing multidirectional screw placement up to 15° from the central axis

  • Spherical threaded screw heads compatible with variable-angle locking holes and compression units

  • Self-tapping screw tips for easier insertion and secure bone fixation

  • Anodized surface finish for improved durability and implant identification

  • Low-profile anatomical plate design with rounded edges and a polished surface to help minimize soft tissue irritation

  • Cortical screws with ball-shaped heads compatible with compression and combination holes

Advantages

  • Interrupted thread design helps reduce the risk of cold welding at the screw-plate interface

  • Multidirectional screw placement allows fixation trajectories to be adjusted to fracture configuration and anatomy

  • Rigid locking interface provides stable mechanical fixation between the plate and screws

  • Up to 15° variable-angle adjustment provides flexibility for different fracture patterns
  • Screws can be reinserted when intraoperative repositioning is required
  • A minimum of two screws in a fracture fragment can provide rotational stability
  • No additional bushings are required for variable-angle screw insertion, simplifying the fixation procedure
  • Anatomical shaping, low-profile design, and polished surfaces help minimize soft tissue irritation

Indications

  • Internal fixation of distal radius fractures requiring volar plate fixation
  • Intra-articular and extra-articular fractures involving the radial and intermediate columns
  • Comminuted fractures and fractures in osteoporotic bone requiring angular stability
  • Complex distal radius fractures requiring individualized screw trajectories
