Description

Product Introduction

Minimally Invasive Percutaneous Pedicle Screw System

Product Overview

This system consists of pedicle screws, titanium rods, set screws, and other components. The pedicle screws feature a through-cannulation design along the central axis of the screw body, enabling minimally invasive percutaneous pedicle screw fixation.

The system offers reduced blood loss, minimized muscle and soft tissue dissection, less postoperative pain, faster recovery, smaller incisions and scars, and shorter hospital stays. It also maintains the advantages of satisfactory reduction and strong fixation. Early ambulation can facilitate rehabilitation and support an earlier return to work.

Spinal minimally invasive surgery is characterized by precise operation, minimal tissue damage, rapid recovery, and small incisions.

Primary Function

The system is designed to restore vertebral alignment and physiological spinal curvature while bearing partial or full physiological loads in patients with conditions such as vertebral fractures, lumbar disc herniation, lumbar spinal stenosis, and spondylolisthesis.

Through a posterior surgical approach, pedicle screws are implanted into the vertebral bodies through the pedicles of the thoracolumbar vertebrae. Manipulation of the screws enables distraction, compression, lifting, and reduction of the vertebrae, helping restore anatomical position and spinal curvature.

The rod is passed subcutaneously into the U-shaped slots of the pedicle screws using specialized insertion instruments and secured with set screws. This creates a stable fixation construct that provides a favorable biomechanical environment for thoracolumbar spinal fusion and fixation.

All components are made of TC4 titanium alloy.

-Features

Pedicle Screw

The pedicle is a strong bony structure connecting the vertebral body and lamina and serves as an important foundation for modern spinal internal fixation. Pedicle screw fixation stabilizes the anterior, middle, and posterior spinal columns and enables three-dimensional correction through distraction and compression between the screws and longitudinal rods.

This technology is widely used in the treatment of spinal fracture-dislocations, spinal deformities, lumbar spondylolisthesis, and spinal instability.

Spinal Rod

The rod connects the fixation components and transmits spinal loads. Titanium alloy rods provide high stiffness, good biocompatibility, and reliable fixation strength, while maintaining sagittal and coronal alignment with minimal springback after contouring.

Set Screws

The system provides standard, break-off, and reduction set screws. The break-off mechanism helps provide consistent locking force and reduces variation caused by manual tightening.

Pedicle Screw Types

Pedicle screws consist of a screw body and screw head. They are available in fixed and multi-axial configurations.

Multi-axial screws provide greater flexibility in screw placement and rod insertion, while supporting vertebral fixation and improving intraoperative versatility.

-Advantages

The system provides multiple configurations, allowing surgeons to select pre-contoured rods and pedicle screws of different diameters and lengths according to patient anatomy and surgical requirements.

Application

-Applicable Procedures

Suitable for spinal degenerative diseases, fracture trauma, and other conditions requiring posterior spinal internal fixation, including spinal stenosis, disc herniation, and spondylolisthesis.

Trauma

• Fractures and traumatic spondylolisthesis

• Correction of fracture malunions

Degenerative Diseases

• Severe or recurrent lumbar disc herniation

• Spinal instability or spondylolisthesis

• Stabilization and reconstruction after laminectomy for spinal stenosis
