The Olecranon Locking Plate is designed for stable angular fixation of olecranon fractures through a secure bone-screw-plate construct. Its 20° conical threaded holes work with locking screws to provide angular stability without requiring direct compression of the plate against the bone, helping preserve the periosteal blood supply.
The plate is anatomically contoured for the olecranon region and features a low-profile body with rounded edges and a highly polished surface to help reduce soft tissue irritation. Locking Screw Type I and Cannulated Screw Type II have conical heads designed to match the threaded holes, providing a secure interface and effective fixation.
The locking screws feature symmetrical threads to provide fixation under functional loading while helping control insertion torque. Screws with diameters of Φ1.5 mm and Φ2.0 mm use shallower threads for improved grip, while Φ6.5 mm and Φ7.3 mm screws feature deeper threads for fixation in cancellous bone.
Cortical screws are designed with spherical heads for use with combination holes, allowing axial compression through eccentric insertion. Their shallow thread design helps balance insertion torque and axial force, reducing the risk of screw loosening.
The components are manufactured from TA3G pure titanium and TC4 titanium alloy, offering biocompatibility, mechanical strength, and long-term stability.
