Product Introduction
This locking plate system features conical threaded locking holes that engage with matching screw heads to create a secure connection between the screw, plate, and bone, providing stable angular fixation.
The plate body is anatomically contoured for the hand and features a low-profile design, polished surface, and rounded edges to help minimize soft tissue irritation.
The 20° conical locking holes are precisely matched to the corresponding locking screw heads, providing firm angular stability without requiring compression of the plate against the bone surface. This design helps preserve the blood supply around the fracture site.
Type I solid locking screws and Type II cannulated locking screws feature matching 20° conical threads. The screw shaft is available with optimized thread profiles according to screw diameter: symmetric shallow threads are used for smaller-diameter screws (Φ1.5 mm and Φ2.0 mm) to improve bone purchase in narrow bone shafts, while deeper threads on larger-diameter screws (Φ6.5 mm and Φ7.3 mm) are designed to enhance fixation in cancellous bone.
All components are manufactured from high-strength TA3G commercially pure titanium and TC4 titanium alloy, providing a combination of biocompatibility and mechanical performance.
Features
- Conical Threaded Screw Head Design
Screw heads feature a conical threaded design precisely matched to the locking holes and locking compression holes for secure engagement and stable fixation.
- Sharp Self-Tapping Cutting Edges
The screws feature sharp self-tapping cutting edges to facilitate efficient insertion during fixation.
- Colored Anodized Surface Treatment
The surface is treated with colored anodization to enhance corrosion resistance and durability.
- Anatomically Contoured Low-Profile Plate
The plate is anatomically contoured for the intended fixation site and features rounded edges, a polished surface, and a low-profile structure to help minimize soft tissue irritation.
Advantages
- Stable Angular Fixation
The 20° conical threaded locking holes and matching locking screws form a secure interface designed to provide stable angular fixation.
- Efficient Screw Insertion
Sharp self-tapping cutting edges facilitate screw insertion and support efficient implantation.
- Anatomical Plate Design
The anatomically contoured plate, rounded edges, and low-profile polished surface are designed to reduce soft tissue irritation while helping preserve the blood supply around the fracture site.
Indications
- Fractures of the proximal, middle, and distal phalanges
- Metacarpal fractures, including transverse, oblique, and comminuted fractures
- Intra-articular and extra-articular fractures of the fingers
- Fractures requiring angular stability, particularly in osteoporotic bone
- Malunions or nonunions of the phalanges or metacarpals
- Corrective osteotomies of the phalanges or metacarpals
- Post-traumatic deformity reconstruction or stabilization following bone grafting
